Sushi Roll was developed by myself and some old Uni friends as part of the GameDev.TV game jam in 2022. The idea was we each chose something we'd be interested in creating and make something around that - my particular interest was in developing a simple yet engaging core gameplay mechanic. That developed into us deciding on our theme, making sushi.
I was responsible for creating the gameplay loop, including the ingredient dispensers and the endless ticket system which makes use of random generation & ramping difficulty as the player progresses.
